I'm testing a fresh installation of Icinga2 (r2.4.0-1) on ubuntu server (v14.04.3), and have icingaweb2 installed. The 'monitor' module is working - I can see a host and services I've configure in the web console. Now I'm trying to add pnp4nagios and integrate it into icingaweb2 as per the Icinga2 official documentation. I used apt to install pnp4nagios and did the rest of the Icinga2 install instructions, and then followed the instructions on the git page for icingaweb2-pnp-module, copying the contents of the zip file to the /etc/icingaweb2/modules/pnp folder, I ensured that the owner/group of all the pnp files matched those of the monitoring module files - the final step is to 'enable the module in your frontend (Configuration -> Modules -> pnp4nagios -> enable) - but 'pnp4nagios' doesn't show up in the list of modules. Another module mentioned installing via CLI, but gave no indication how.
I grabbed the verify_pnp_config troubleshooting perl script to see if it might give me some clues, but I can't find the 'pnpconfig' file. I suspect I'm missing something pretty basic, but I'm too much of a n00b to figure out what. Suggestions?
Also, apologies if this has been answered elsewhere - it looks like there are a number of questions regarding pnp4nagios, but my German isn't good enough to get much out of them.
Thanks,
ch
